Enforcement of NSF-approved Biographical Sketch and Current and Pending Support Formats Begins on October 5, 2020

The National Science Foundation (NSF) will  begin requiring the use of NSF-approved formats for Biographical sketches and Current and Pending Support documents as of October 5, 2020. For more information about this policy, click here.

In an effort to promote diverse teams of scientists and capitalize on the innovative ideas developed from researchers with varied backgrounds, the National Institutes of Health issued notice NOT-OD-20-031 to clarify the Underrepresented Populations encouraged to apply for Diversity Supplements.

New NSF Proposal Guide Released

NSF has released its newest Proposal & Award Policies and Procedures Guide (PAPPG) (NSF 20-1), which will go into effect for proposals submitted on or after June 1, 2020.

Make your NSF Biosketch Using SciENcv

NSF has announced that the next Proposal and Award Policies and Procedures Guide (PAPPG 20-1), expected to be released soon for spring 2020 implementation, will require the use of SciENcv: Science Experts Curriculum Vitae for biosketch preparation.

OSPA Sets New Sponsored Projects Proposal Deadline

As of October 8, 2019, all sponsored project proposals to external funders must have a final proposal accompanied by a fully routed Internal Approval Form submitted to the Research Administrator in OSPA at least three business days prior to the sponsor’s deadline. OSPA Research Administrators will use this time to ensure that proposals are submitted to external funders in a timely, error-free and compliant fashion.

NSF Adopts Changes to Approved Biographical Sketch Format

NSF has designated the NIH’s SciENcv (Science Experts Network Curriculum Vitae) as an NSF-approved format for submission of biographical sketch(es) and is encouraging its use to prepare a biographical sketch for inclusion in proposals to NSF.

New Procedure for Obtaining Institutional Support Letters for Research Grants
