Established to promote and facilitate the development and research and instruction in structural biology at the University of Kentucky
- Enhance our understanding of the structural and dynamic aspects of biological molecules that underlie their function
- Identify important biological molecules and characterize their functions, covalent modifications, and interactions
- Use the knowledge of biological molecules and their functional mechanisms to develop novel therapeutic strategies for improving human health
- Provide, maintain, and facilitate the use of instrumentation for the production and characterization of biological molecules
- Promote and facilitate collaborative interactions and dissemination of knowledge in areas of structural biology, biophysics, and proteomics
