Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics Core
What is the Mass Spectrometry & Proteomics Core?
The Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics Core serves the research community of the University of Kentucky by providing access to advanced analytical equipment for quantitation and structural analysis. The core can assist in sample preparation, method development, acquisition, and data analysis.
Our Mission
The Research Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics Core Lab is dedicated to advancing scientific discovery through high-quality proteomics and small molecule analysis. We provide cutting-edge mass spectrometry-based services, including protein identification, quantification, post-translational modification analysis, and small molecule/metabolite profiling.
Our goal is to support researchers by offering comprehensive analytical solutions, from initial consultation to data interpretation, ensuring rigorous and reproducible results. We foster collaborations across disciplines, empowering scientists with the tools and expertise needed to drive innovation in biomedical and life sciences research.
Through education, training, and access to state-of-the-art instrumentation, we strive to enhance scientific knowledge, support grant applications, and contribute to groundbreaking discoveries. We are committed to providing accurate, reproducible data with rapid turnaround times, ensuring that researchers receive high-quality results in a timely and responsive manner.
