Fall HDI Certificates Open House

The Human Development Institute (HDI) at the University of Kentucky is holding a virtual open house to share information about its graduate and undergraduate certificate programs. The Undergraduate Certificate in Universal Design prepares students from all disciplines to build products, systems, buildings, classrooms, and other environments that are accessible to everyone. The Graduate Certificate in Developmental Disabilities prepares students from a broad range of disciplines to provide services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Opportunities for Disabled Researchers and Scholars

This panel discussion focuses on the growing movement to include members of the disability community in all aspects of research. The principles of Participatory Action Research will be reviewed as well as how they apply to disability pride and self-determination. Panelists will share their experiences and perspectives as researchers with lived experience with disability.
