2025 Markey Cancer Research Day

Markey Cancer Center Research Day is an exciting and informative event that showcases the innovative cancer research projects happening across all disciplines at the University of Kentucky. This single-day event provides a platform for the UK research community to share their work and collaborate with others. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a poster session, attend oral presentations, and hear from experts during the Susan B. Lester and Gilbert H. Friedell, MD, Memorial Lectures.

9th Annual Precision Medicine Symposium

This symposium highlights clinical advances in precision medicine. Oncologists, hematologists, oncology surgeons, pathologists, radiologists, oncology nurses, researchers, clinical research staff, pharmacists, genetic counselors, cancer center administrators and cancer program leaders are encouraged to attend. 2024 GI Cancers in Kentucky Symposium

This symposium, presented by the Division of Surgical Oncology and the UK Markey Cancer Center, will highlight the latest advances in gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, and pancreatic cancer treatment and participants will have the chance to network with leading experts in the field.

Inherited Cancers in Children and Young Adults: Communities and Researchers Working Together

In Kentucky, roughly one in every ten young cancer patients has inherited a genetic reason to put them at an increased cancer risk.    These young patients, their families and their caregivers have physical, emotional and financial needs that differ from others whose lives are upended by a cancer diagnosis. At the UK Markey Cancer Center, we understand many things about cancer, and we're learning more every day - from people just like you.

9th Annual Healthy Hearts for Women Symposium

The ninth annual Healthy Hearts for Women Symposium will return to an in-person event this year and feature nationally recognized expert panelists from Baylor, Emory, UCLA, and Yale, as well as the University of Kentucky.
