Suburban Ecology and Invasive Species Research Experience at UK
This summer students from colleges across the country took part in a 10-week “Suburban Ecology and Invasive Species” program at the University of Kentucky. Funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU), this program matched undergraduates interested in ecology research with mentors at UK studying invasive plant species like tall fescue and honeysuckle and invasive animal species like Western mosquitofish and house sparrows.
