What We Do

Research Award Services is comprised of experts from our Proposal Development Office, Collaborative Grant Services and Office of Sponsored Projects Administration.

Our goal is to provide efficient, consistent and effective award services – from proposal development, proposal and budget drafting, proposal submission, award activation and project closeout – to enable principal investigators (PIs) to focus on research goals.

Definitions

 Award = a grant, contract or agreement that UK enters into with an external sponsor for research activity.

Proposal Submission Deadline Policy

Develop Idea & Find Funding

As a principal investigator (PI), once you have reviewed literature related to your idea and are ready to pursue funding, notify your department chair and work with the Proposal Development Office (PDO).
