NSF MRSEC IRG Planning and Networking

The m-RPA is taking initial steps toward developing an application to the NSF Materials Research Science and Engineering Center (MRSEC) Program (pre-proposal due June 2025). This convening will open with a few short presentations and then quickly transition into group discussion and planning where materials science researchers can openly propose ideas for the required Interdisciplinary Research Groups (IRGs). Another goal of this gathering is to broaden networks so materials science researchers can see where they connect to existing or emerging IRG themes, to expand networks making stronger and more competitive IRGs. The m-RPA is interested in both mature IRG ideas and seed IRG ideas to develop over time.
