Join us for Kentucky Geological Survey's 62nd Annual Seminar.

Our theme this year is Of Hills and Hazards. The seminar will explore Kentucky geological hazards and will include presentations on post-flood landslide reconnaissance, ongoing seismic hazards research, Google Earth for geohazards, geologic controls on radon, and other hazard-related issues.

We are honored to have Dr. David Applegate, 18th Director of the U.S. Geological Survey, as our keynote speaker. His talk is entitled 'Geohazards and Geological Surveys: Bringing Science to Bear When and Where It Matters Most.' This will also be a special event for KGS Director Dr. William Haneberg. He will present his topic 'Geohazards in the Anthropocene: Focus on Kentucky,' which will be one of his last talks as KGS Director and Kentucky State Geologist.

The seminar will also include a poster session and time for discussion and networking.

Lunch is provided and the event is free, but registration is required: https://bit.ly/3GivZXc
