Dr. Emily DeFranco joined the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in January 2024 as the chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a highly regarded expert in her field with an extensive research background as evidenced by hundreds of peer-reviewed publications and national scientific presentations. In this presentation, she will review her experience with multiple different studies involving environmental exposures and adverse pregnancy outcomes.

Join the White House Office of Public Engagement on Monday, April 15 at 2pm EST/1pm CST for East Palestine Train Derailment Briefing. In February 2023, a Norfolk Southern train carrying hazardous chemicals derailed in East Palestine, Ohio, jeopardizing the community’s safety and sense of normalcy. Since the derailment, the Biden-Harris Administration has mobilized a comprehensive, whole-of-government response to support the people of East Palestine, Ohio, affected communities in Pennsylvania, and other impacted communities.
