Content
The 2019 theme is "Working Toward Health Equity in Appalachia: Exploring Solutions.” We are most interested in programs, research, and/or community efforts that highlight success in improving health and wellbeing in the Appalachian Region. There will be podium presentations, a poster session, and one "ignite session" (described below).

Directions for abstract submission:

  1. 250 word limit (not counting title/list of presenters). Do not include diagrams, illustrations, or other graphic objects in your submission.
  2. Identify themed area most aligned with your work:
    • Health equity across the life course: Programs, research, or community work that address health issues affecting the Appalachian Region through all stages of life.
    • Collaborations / How-to's: Exploring community-academic partnerships through presenting examples, lessons learned from "both sides” of partnership, and/or sharing more about these partnerships (e.g. successful strategies, how to get started, etc.).
    • Data-Driven Solutions: Data driven community solutions come with challenges. What is working? What challenges are associated with these approaches?
    • Ignite Session: Have an idea? Need a partner? This session will give presenters 6 - 8 minutes to "pitch" ideas/needs or seek collaborators with an opportunity for feedback.
    • Other: Not sure where your project or presentation fits? Choose this option.
  3. Presentation title & presenter(s); no individual should be first author on more than one abstract
  4. Submissions are due by July 15, 2019 at 11:59pm, notification of acceptance by August 7, 2019.
  5. Email questions to Jeff Grever (Jeff.Grever@osumc.edu)
