Liz Knapp
Manager, Commercialization, Technology Commercialization
Liz is commercialization manager for the Office of Technology Commercialization (OTC) serving University of Kentucky (UK) College of Engineering and Physical Sciences. She works with UK Innovators to develop business models and commercialization plans for the technologies and to direct UK OTC's resources to maximize long term impact of each UK intellectual property (asset).
Liz was previously the program manager for the Southeast XLerator Network (XLN) where she helped work on program including Executives-on-Roster® (XOR). Before joining OTC, Liz did program development work for NASA Kentucky and spent 14 years at the Kentucky Science and Technology Corporation in various roles as assistant director of the Kentucky EPSCoR Program, co-founder and IT program manager for the Kentucky Governor’s School for Entrepreneurs and program manager of the Kentucky Science and Engineering Foundation. Liz earned degrees in biology from the University of Pennsylvania and a Masters of Biomechanics in kinesiology and health promotion from the University of Kentucky.
