UK Sanders-Brown Center on Aging Mind Matters Health Fair is May 7
The 10th annual University of Kentucky Sanders-Brown Mind Matters Health Fair will take place 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday, May 7 and is free and open to the public. The event is for anyone who would like to learn more about what they can do to age well.
Experts will share their knowledge on aging and brain health, including:
- "Aging, the Immune System and the Brain"
- "Laugh and Let Live: The Role of Humor in Mental Health"
- "Living Well Tomorrow: What You Can do Today"
Also featured are interactive booths with information about local resources for the elderly. There will also be brief, confidential memory screens available to all interested attendees. A free lunch is also provided. No registration is required.
The UK Sanders-Brown Center on Aging is dedicated to improving the health of older adults in Kentucky and beyond through research, education, outreach and clinical programs to promote healthy brain aging. We also have a number of different research studies for Alzheimer’s disease prevention and treatment.
