Community Leadership of Kentucky Accepting Applications for 2019 Cohort
The Community Leadership Institute of Kentucky (CLIK) is a four-week intensive leadership development program offered in Hazard, Kentucky, to enhance research and capacity-building competencies in community leaders, directors, and administrators who are working to reduce health disparities, especially in Appalachian counties. Applications are due Dec. 18, and available here. Up to 12 seats will be available for the 2019 class.
The mission of CLIK is to partner with and empower community leaders to implement local solutions to health problems. Participants will receive research and programmatic training in assessing community health needs, quality improvement, ensuring evidence-based practice, human subjects protection, grant writing, budgets, survey development, program evaluation, data analysis, accessing and mining public datasets, data visualization and advanced public speaking.
Training sessions will take place at the UK Center of Excellence in Rural Health, in Hazard on March 18, March 19, March 26, April 1 and April 9. Following the training dates, mentoring and technical assistance will be available throughout the year as participants’ projects are implemented and completed.
