Grants.gov Migration and Outage Impacts Proposal Submissions 9/23/2022-9/29/2022

Grants.gov is migrating to the cloud and will be offline from Friday, September 23, 2022 through Thursday, September 29, 2022. No proposal submissions through Cayuse or directly to Grants.gov will be possible during the downtime.   Grants.gov is working with various agencies to adjust submission deadlines to minimize the disruption; however, investigators intending to submit an application to an opportunity with a deadline within this timeframe should submit the proposal early or request an extension of the deadline from the funding agency.  

New Other Support Portal for Sponsored Projects

A new online portal for disclosure of Other Support (as defined by the external sponsor of a sponsored project) is now available.  This portal is intended to gather information about the active and pending support for your research endeavors.

New Training Videos Available

OSPA is excited to announce the development of new training videos to assist the University of Kentucky Community with common sponsored project tasks via a Microsoft Stream channel. Current videos cover new requirements for NIH Other Support and ClinicalTrials.gov requirements, with more videos coming soon!  Access to the Microsoft Stream channel, and other training resources can be found here.

NSF Pre-Award and Post-Award Disclosures

Updated look for Project Account Data Record (PADR)

The Office of Sponsored Projects Administration is excited to announce an updated look to your Project Account Data Record (PADR).  Starting in February, faculty and staff will begin to receive these PADRs when an account is created or revised. This new format contains the same data but highlights the modifications processed on the account for quicker review by faculty and staff.

The flexibilities allowing Federal agencies to grant administrative, fiscal and audit flexibilities to recipients of Federal awards expired on September 30, 2020.

The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) initially provided flexibilities allowing Federal agencies to grant administrative, financial and audit requirement flexibilities to recipients of Federal awards. Most of those flexibilities expired on June 16, 2020 (for M-20-17 and M-20-20) and July 26, 2020 (for M-20-11). The recent extension in
