Climate Chats
- Monthly hour-long virtual chats from a wide variety of speakers relating to ideas of climate change and/or sustainability
- Some past chats include:

Annual Meeting
- KYCC members are invited to the annual hybrid meeting where members can come together to discuss the work done over the course of the academic year
- The annual meeting includes a keynote speaker, discussion of the work completed over the year, and ideas for where to improve or grow the organization in the following year
- The location of the meeting changes yearly. In 2022, it was held at Raven Run in Lexington, Kentucky.

Grant-Funded Projects
KOHC Oral History Project, 2022-2023
- This project has recruited 22 interviewers to conduct 2 interviews apiece for a total of 44 recorded interviews
- Interviews will be stored at the Louie B. Nunn Center at the University of Kentucky for use in future research on climate change in the state of Kentucky
- The focus is on capturing stories from Kentuckians to help us understand how climate and climate change have been understood and approached in the commonwealth in the past and the present
- The project fills a gap in the current oral history archive with regards to climate work in the state of Kentucky
- Funds came from the Kentucky Oral History Commission
Media Training, Spring 2023
The KYCC was awarded a grant in Fall 2022 by the University of Kentucky (UK) Cooperative for the Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) to provide media training to academics working on environmental and climate issues
- Additional support was provided by the UK Departments of Geography; Plant and Soil Sciences; and Writing, Rhetoric, and Digital Studies, as well as the Kentucky Geological Survey and the Kentucky Water Resources Research Institute.
- The media training workshop will be led virtually by the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Public Communication Initiative and will have 70 participants drawn from the KYCC and other sponsoring units.
