Alice Turkington
Dr. Turkington received her BA and PhD. from Queens University of Belfast, Northern Ireland. Dr. Turkington conducts research in weathering geomorphology; specifically, she has examined the decay and conservation of cultural stone in Europe, the development of characteristic desert landforms in the US and Australia, and the role of trees in shaping their own habitat on forested hill slopes in the US. Dr. Turkington teaches courses in physical geography, weather and climate, climate change, environmental science and geomorphology, at undergraduate and graduate levels.
